Dear Parents,

I would like to extend a warm welcome to you and your children to Roscomare Road Elementary School. The staff and I always look forward to working with you as we combine the excellent resources and talents of our school and community to provide a quality educational program.

Since children are influenced by the home environment as well as the school environment, it is vitally important that there be cooperation and consistency between these two important institutions (home and school). Your support and cooperation is needed so that children fully understand the importance of school, homework, self-respect, discipline and self-control as these relate to the learning process. Also, your active involvement and participation greatly enriches your child’s academic program.

Please read all school communications carefully so that you will be aware of school/district policies and procedures. This parent handbook has been prepared as a means for you to keep this information handy to refer to during the year.
