Emergency Information Cards
It is important that the Emergency Card be kept up-to-date at all times. Be sure to sign both sides of the card. Cards for all returning students should be completed and returned to the teacher as soon as possible. Sometimes emergencies arise with your child and we need to be able to reach you. When we are unable to reach you in an emergency state law to then call for emergency assistance from an approved list of facilities requires us. When you change your address or telephone number, notify the school immediately. Important: Please make certain you list everyone whom is authorized to pick up your child. By law, and for your child's safety, we cannot release your child to ANYONE who is not listed on the Emergency Card.
Secure School Entrance
The entrance by the main office is the only entrance to the school during class hours. Please cooperate with us by using this entrance. When you visit the school, check-in at the office for a Visitor’s Pass. It is very important that we know who is on campus at all times. So remember, if you are coming to visit, volunteer, or taking your child to class after the start of the school day, please come to the office and sign in. At the end of the day, at dismissal time, we are also asking that you wait outside the gate for your child. There just is not enough room to accommodate everyone waiting by the office. Be sure that your child knows what they are to do after school, i.e.; stay on playground, being picked up, childcare, etc.
School Security
We would appreciate, if at anytime, you suspect or see acts of vandalism, burglary and/or any other act of a suspicious nature during non-school hours, please call the School Police at (213) 625-6631. Every act of vandalism, etc. that requires repair or replacement of equipment is costly to every taxpayer. Your call will not implicate you in any way and can be anonymous. |
