| The school library is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. including recess and lunch. Besides reading, students are invited to work at computers and play chess during the recess and lunch periods.
Each class has a designated day and time once a week to come to the library to check books in or out. Books are checked out for a two-week period and can be renewed if desired. Only one book can be checked out at a time. There are no fines for overdue books but students are responsible for replacing any lost book. Our Library was remodeled in 2006, thanks to donations from our Parents through the Booster Club. Parent donations continued to pour in for this worthwhile endeavor with sponsorships of tables, chairs, shelves and books! You can continue to help our Library each year with book donations during our Book Fair! Email bookfair@rrboosterclub.com for more information. Our students now have a beautiful sanctuary to read, study and work on projects. Special Events and Activities Family Reading Night Family Science Night Career Day Young Author's Day Back To School Night Open House International Dance Day Kindergarten Activities Winter Kindergarden Candy Houses End of Year Kindergarten Carnival of the Animals Performance Special Events School Spirit Day Students, parents, teachers and staff are encouraged to wear Roscomare Road School colors (Blue & White) and clothes with the Roadrunner insignia on Fridays. Spirit wears and other products are sold in front of the school throughout the year. School wide spirit assemblies are held each Friday morning including the singing of our Roscomare Road School song and special announcements. The amphitheater area is perfect for story telling! |
